ResetConnection

Abort a connection on a TCP socket.

int ResetConnection ( int sd, int *error );

Parameters

sd

Socket descriptor.

error

Output parameter:  Failure code, 0 on success.

Return Value

0 = success
Non-zero = Failure (see error output parameter)

Comments

This function only works on TCP sockets andis used to abort a connection on a socket. It sends a RST and discards all outstanding data.  

A reset socket cannot be used for a new connection.
The socket is not closed.   This must be done using the closesocket API.
